He envisioned a project titled 'The Hunt for Ben Solo,' with Steven Soderbergh reportedly attached to direct at one point. Driver expressed his willingness to return for another Star Wars installment if a compelling story and a strong director were involved.

However, the proposed film faced a significant hurdle when Disney CEO Bob Iger reportedly shut down its development. According to Driver, Iger and other executives could not envision a scenario where Ben Solo would still be alive, leading to the project's cancellation despite internal support from Lucasfilm. Driver shared his disappointment, noting that he had presented the idea directly to Iger.
