Kushal Tandon has shed light on his unexpected friendship with Zaid Darbar, the husband of his former partner Gauahar Khan, during their time on the reality show Alliance. Tandon stated he did not view Zaid as Gauahar's husband but as a fellow contestant, leading to a strong bond between them.

He also addressed a viral comment where he playfully remarked about Zaid's fondness for his possessions, including cigarettes and coffee. Tandon explained this was simple banter between friends, not a contentious remark, clarifying any misunderstanding outside the house.

The actor believes fellow contestant Vanshaj Singh attempted to sabotage his alliances by spreading false information about him to other housemates. Tandon asserted that despite these alleged manipulations, he remained loyal to his commitments and emerged unfazed.

Kushal Tandon initially hesitated to return to reality television but was persuaded by Ektaa Kapoor, with whom he has a long-standing professional relationship. He felt the show allowed viewers to see a more authentic side of his personality beyond his scripted roles.
