During the Diwali special episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026, renowned singer Kumar Sanu extended a touching gift to contestant Durgesh Yadav's family. Learning that Durgesh's parents, who are farmers from Mau, Uttar Pradesh, did not own a television, Sanu immediately promised to send one to their home. This gesture ensures they can now watch their son's performances on the singing reality show.
The emotional reveal occurred after Durgesh's guru, Pt. Shri Girijashankar Tripathi, surprised him on set. Sanu's decision to provide a television was a response to the discovered circumstances of Durgesh's family, turning the festive occasion into a deeply moving experience for the young contestant. Sanu has a long-standing association with the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa franchise, having judged its inaugural season in 1995.
