Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan, known for their roles in the 2022 horror-comedy Bhediya, have recently reunited with director Amar Kaushik. The actors shared a video on Instagram, showing them smiling and howling together, which has fueled fan speculation about a potential new project. The text accompanying the video teased an "unexpected reunion that will get you 'Obsessed'! Stay Tuned!!", further intensifying the buzz.

The film Bhediya, which starred Varun Dhawan as a man bitten by a wolf in Arunachal Pradesh and Kriti Sanon as a veterinarian, was a critical and commercial success. Varun Dhawan later reprised his supernatural character with a cameo in Stree 2 in 2024. Maddock Films had previously announced Bhediya 2 as part of its upcoming projects.

While Bhediya 2 was initially slated for release in August 2026, its production timeline is now unclear due to various project postponements within the industry. No official announcement regarding the sequel's progress has been made yet. This reunion between Sanon, Dhawan, and Kaushik, however, suggests that work on the Bhediya franchise might be back on track.
