Reddy's artistic journey began in Santiniketan at age 16, where his innate sensitivity to nature was cultivated under renowned artists. His time at Atelier 17 in Paris was particularly formative, leading to the development of his revolutionary multicolour viscosity printing technique. This innovation significantly advanced the field of intaglio printmaking and remains a key aspect of his artistic legacy.
Throughout his distinguished seven-decade career, Reddy not only made significant artistic contributions but also profoundly influenced generations of artists through his teaching. He held significant positions, including co-director of Atelier 17 and director of the Printmaking department at NYU. The exhibition celebrates these multifaceted contributions and the enduring power of the friendships that underpinned his impactful career.
