Korean Entertainment Exec Unveils Ambitious Plans for Hiro's Omakase, Eyeing Global Markets

In a significant move within the entertainment industry, Jason Kim, a prominent Korean executive, has unveiled the launch of his new independent production company, Hiro's Omakase. The announcement comes just 19 hours ago, as Kim looks to expand his creative footprint across Japan, Korea, and the United States – markets where he has spent years building strong industry relationships.

Kim's impressive resume includes a decade-plus tenure as a talent representative at Lovett Management, before transitioning to the production side of the business in 2020. During this time, he has collaborated closely with actor Kunal Nayyar, known for his role in the hit series 'Big Bang Theory'. The two have worked together at Nayyar's production company, Good Karma Productions, where Kim has overseen creative development for both scripted and unscripted projects.

As Kim shifts his focus to Hiro's Omakase, Good Karma Productions is promoting Logan Kovarick from director of development to VP, tasked with managing the company's growing slate of projects. Meanwhile, Kim plans to maintain his involvement in select initiatives, including an adaptation of the book "Angel Island: Immigrant Gateway to America" and the Broadway debut of "The Lost Boys".

Reflecting on his transition, Kim expressed deep gratitude for his long-standing partnership with Nayyar, stating that they will continue to collaborate on meaningful ventures in the future. Nayyar, in turn, praised Kim's instrumental role in his career over the past two decades, wishing him well on his new entrepreneurial endeavor.
