The King's Birthday Honours have been announced, recognizing significant achievements across the UK.
Rugby league icon Kevin Sinfield has been knighted for his remarkable fundraising for motor neurone disease charities, raising over £11 million. He was inspired by his former teammate Rob Burrow. Authors Malorie Blackman and Julia Donaldson, known for "Noughts & Crosses" and "The Gruffalo" respectively, have been made dames for their contributions to literature.
Several members of the Euro 2025 winning Lionesses, including Chloe Kelly, have been appointed MBEs. Beauty brand founder Charlotte Tilbury receives a CBE. Actress Helen Mirren and photojournalist Don McCullin are made Companions of Honour.
Individuals recognised for community and charity work include Deborah Lewis and Constance McCready, who established support groups for families who lost relatives during the pandemic. Animation studio founders Peter Lord and David Sproxton of Aardman Animations are also knighted.
