King vs Avengers: Christmas Box Office Battle Heats Up

This Christmas, a significant box office battle is brewing between 'King' and 'Avengers: Doomsday'. Distributors are actively negotiating with exhibitors to secure the maximum number of screens for their respective films. 'King,' starring Shah Rukh Khan, is positioned for a December 24, 2026, release, marking a highly anticipated return for the actor to the silver screen after a three-year hiatus.

Conversely, 'Avengers: Doomsday' is scheduled to premiere on December 17 across all territories. Exhibitors anticipate a challenging holiday period filled with negotiations as both Disney, distributing 'Avengers: Doomsday,' and Pen Marudhar, handling 'King,' aim to dominate the theatrical landscape. The competition for screen space is expected to be intense, with 'King' reportedly aiming for more screens than 'Avengers,' 'Dune,' and 'Jumanji' combined.
