King Princess Debuts on Stage in "Girl, Interrupted"

Mikaela Straus, known professionally as King Princess, will soon make her theatrical debut in a musical adaptation of "Girl, Interrupted." Straus is cast to play Lisa, a role that earned Angelina Jolie an Academy Award in the 1999 film.
This musical production, which has been in development for nearly a decade, features original songs composed by Aimee Mann. Previews are scheduled to commence on May 13 at New York's Public Theater, with the official run extending from June 4 through June 21.
Mann has been actively involved in the project since at least 2018. She developed the music for "Girl, Interrupted" concurrently with her latest album, "Queens of the Summer Hotel," released in 2022.
While this marks King Princess's stage debut in a dramatic role, Straus has prior acting experience, including a recurring part in the Hulu series "Nine Perfect Strangers" and a role in the upcoming film "One Night Only."
