On November 3, 2025, Kim Kardashian, the SKIMS founder, took to Instagram to honor her close childhood friend, Lindsay May Palevsky, on the first anniversary of her passing. Palevsky, who was part of Kardashian's "lifers" group, had passed away on November 2, 2024, after a 13-year battle with a rare form of cancer.
In her emotional tribute, Kardashian shared a throwback photo of the friend group, along with a touching message. "A year without you," she wrote. "The world paused on Nov 2nd and I know a part of the lifers went with you. Time feels strange without you here. We all see you in purple skies and butterflies. I love you forever, my lifer."
The post also included several other photos, including a close-up of a bracelet engraved with "best friends," images of Kardashian and Palevsky as adults, a sweet snap of Palevsky holding up two puppies, and an image of purple flowers on her gravesite.
Kardashian had previously honored Palevsky in a loving tribute in July, eight months after her death, sharing moments from their annual lake trip that often fell on Palevsky's birthday. "The lake was your happy place. It made you feel lighter, healthier ... you were you," Kardashian wrote at the time. "It'll always be our favorite lifers tradition because it's where we spend time with all of our kids being together and get real time with each other without any outside noise. We felt your absence this year in every sunset, every laugh, every quiet moment."
Palevsky's memory continues to be honored, as Citizens of Humanity created a pair of jeans in her name called "The Lindz," with a portion of the proceeds going to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation.
