Killer Grannies: Unassuming Seniors with Deadly Secrets

Oscar-nominated actress June Squibb lends her voice to Oxygen's 'Killer Grannies,' a true-crime series that delves into the dark side of seemingly gentle elderly women who have committed murder. The show challenges stereotypes, presenting narratives of grandmothers who have broken laws and committed heinous acts.

Squibb narrates tales of seniors who have turned to crime, including the case of Nancy Crampton Brophy, a novelist convicted of murdering her husband for $800,000 in insurance. Another featured case is Barbara Scott, who buried her spouse in her herb garden after a fatal shooting, claiming she panicked.

Upcoming episodes promise more shocking stories, such as a grandmother who used lethal gravy, another who hid her husband's body in a wishing well, and a boarding house operator whose tenants met untimely deaths. Squibb finds the contrast between the grandmothers' unassuming demeanor and their criminal actions to be particularly compelling.
