The Kid Mero has officially taken over the morning drive-time slot at Hot 97, with his new show, "Mornings With Mero," debuting on January 13th. The program will broadcast Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Eastern Time, following the recent dismissal of "Ebro in the Morning" after a 13-year run.
Mero, known for his previous co-hosting gig on "Desus & Mero," expressed his honor in taking on this role at a station he grew up listening to. He emphasized his commitment to upholding Hot 97's legacy in New York City's hip-hop and culture scene while ushering it into a new media era.
This transition marks a significant shift for the station's programming. Following Mero's show, DJ Drewski will host from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Nessa covering the 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. slot, and Funk Flex closing out the day from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
