The 5th annual Middle East & North Africa's 50 Best Restaurants 2026 awards ceremony has honored Khufu's in Giza, Egypt, as the best restaurant in the region. Located in the shadow of the Great Pyramids, Khufu's celebrates Nile Valley flavors through a sophisticated, contemporary Egyptian culinary approach.
The prestigious list encompasses restaurants from 14 cities, with Dubai showing a strong presence, including Kinoya, Trèsind Studio, and Orfali Bros, which previously held the top spot for three consecutive years. Beirut's Beihouse also secured a spot in the top five, earning the Highest New Entry Award.
Beyond the main rankings, several special accolades were presented. Sara Aqel of Dara Dining received the MENA's Best Female Chef award. The Orfali brothers were recognized as MENA's Best Pastry Chefs. Muna Haddad was honored with the Champions of Change Award for her work in Jordan's hospitality sector, and Royal Mansour Marrakech received the Art of Hospitality Award.
