On November 6, 2025, the Houston psych-funk trio Khruangbin is marking the 10th anniversary of its 2015 studio debut, The Universe Smiles Upon You. To commemorate this milestone, the band has released a re-recorded and reworked version of the album, titled The Universe Smiles Upon You II.
Khruangbin's last studio album, A La Sala, came out in 2024. Earlier this year, the group reunited with former tourmate Arooj Aftab to remix Night Reign's "Raat Ki Rani." Now, the trio is revisiting its acclaimed 2015 debut with a fresh take on the record, including a new music video for the track "White Gloves II."
The original The Universe Smiles Upon You was widely praised upon its release, establishing Khruangbin as a rising force in the psych-funk scene.
