Khazana Ghazal Fest: 25 Years of Soulful Melodies

Khazana - A Festival of Ghazals recently marked its Silver Jubilee with two evenings dedicated to the timeless beauty of ghazal music. This landmark 25th edition successfully united established Indian music veterans with emerging talents, demonstrating the genre's enduring appeal and its promising future.

The festival featured memorable performances by renowned artists including Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Rekha Bhardwaj, and Javed Ali. Notably, the event opened each evening with musical medleys honoring legendary singer Asha Bhosle and ghazal maestro Pankaj Udhas, creating an emotionally resonant atmosphere.

Young artists, some as young as 10, captivated audiences with their confident renditions of classic ghazals. Sonu Nigam delivered a particularly moving tribute to the late Pankaj Udhas, while Hariharan mesmerized with his soul-stirring performances. Composer-filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and singer Rekha Bhardwaj also charmed attendees with their unique contributions.

The grand finale was led by Anup Jalota, whose performance earned thunderous applause and a standing ovation. The presence of numerous distinguished personalities from the music fraternity further enhanced the festive spirit. Khazana's 25th edition reaffirmed the ghazal's glorious past and its continued evolution with new voices.
