The film’s India net collection on Friday was Rs 2.30 crore, a 57% decrease from its opening day earnings of Rs 5.35 crore. As of its second day, 'Khalifa' has garnered a total domestic net collection of Rs 7.65 crore, with an India gross collection of Rs 8.90 crore.
While domestic collections dipped, the film performed well internationally. Overseas markets contributed Rs 4 crore on the second day, bringing the total overseas gross to Rs 11 crore. This strong international performance has pushed the film’s worldwide gross collection to Rs 19.90 crore after just two days. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 32% across its Malayalam 2D shows on Friday, with night shows showing the highest demand.
Kerala remains the primary market for 'Khalifa,' generating Rs 2.40 crore in gross earnings on Day 2. Other Indian states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu contributed smaller amounts. The narrative centers on Mambarakkal Aamir Ali, a textile businessman whose life changes after discovering his family's connection to gold smuggling, forcing him to confront a hidden legacy. Mohanlal makes a cameo appearance in the film, which has been praised for its stylish presentation and Sukumaran's portrayal.
