Kesha Slams Trump for "Blow" Song Misuse
3 Mar
Summary
- Kesha accuses Trump of using her song to incite violence.
- The White House has a pattern of unauthorized music use.
- Other artists like SZA and Olivia Rodrigo have also complained.

Singer Kesha has vocally condemned President Trump for the unauthorized use of her song "Blow" in a TikTok video posted by the White House last month. Kesha stated on social media that the administration used her music to "incite violence and threaten war," asserting that this misuse is contrary to her personal values and what she stands for.
The use of "Blow" by the White House is part of a larger pattern of artists criticizing the administration for employing their music in promotional videos and social media posts without permission. Previously, Sabrina Carpenter expressed dismay over the White House using her song "Juno" in an ICE video, calling it "evil and disgusting." The administration also faced backlash for an edited video using Carpenter's "Saturday Night Live" promo, which was later removed.
Other prominent musicians, such as Olivia Rodrigo, Celine Dion, and Foo Fighters, have also confronted the Trump administration over similar unauthorized music usage. SZA pointed out that such actions by the White House appear to be a tactic to use popular music as a distraction, labeling it "peak dark."
