Kerry Washington's Street Talk Goes Weekly Podcast

Kerry Washington is transforming her interview show, "Street You Grew Up On," into a weekly podcast. The actress, producer, and director first launched the digital series in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new partnership between her production company, Simpson Street, and Daylight expands the series into a full-length audio and video podcast.

The expanded format allows for deeper exploration of guests' origin stories and the experiences that shaped them. Washington stated that her company, Simpson Street, is named after her mother's childhood street, fueling her curiosity about how these early influences impact identity. Season 5 guests include notable figures such as Ben Affleck, Dwayne Johnson, Demi Lovato, Colin Kaepernick, and Chelsea Handler.

"Street You Grew Up On" Season 5 is set to premiere on Wednesday, September 30, with new episodes releasing weekly. Audio versions will be available on all major podcast platforms, while video content will be accessible on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. This initiative leverages Daylight's expertise in distribution, audience development, and marketing.
