Keri Russell Shares Hair Tips with Young Taylor Swift Over a Decade Ago

In October 2025, during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, host Jimmy Fallon reminded actress Keri Russell of an interaction she had with a teenage Taylor Swift over a decade ago. Fallon presented Russell with a 2008 MySpace post from Swift, in which the then-19-year-old singer had gushed about meeting Russell and getting her hair care secrets.

According to the post, Swift and her bandmates had the chance to meet Russell at a corporate party they were both attending. Swift wrote that she had "always been obsessed" with Russell because of her curly hair and her work in films like The Waitress and Felicity. When they met, Russell took the time to write down the exact products and techniques she used to style her hair, despite having many other people wanting to talk to her.

Swift concluded the post by saying that she thought it was "so awesome when cool people don't know they're cool" and that she "just loves" Russell. Fallon also shared Swift's former MySpace bio, in which she had declared Russell to be "the coolest celebrity ever."
