Its construction demonstrates an advanced, centuries-old understanding of solar movement, geometry, and orientation, reflecting a time when science and spirituality were integrated.
Mahindra expressed his intent to visit the temple on an equinox day to witness this phenomenon firsthand. He noted the missed spring equinox but marked his calendar for the two annual opportunities. The temple's principal deity is Anantha Padmanabhaswamy, a form of Vishnu, and its structure includes a 7-tier gopuram and corridors with 365 pillars.
