Kendrick Lamar Comedy Film Delayed Again

Paramount has announced another delay for an untitled comedy project that features Kendrick Lamar and is helmed by 'South Park' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The film's release date has been shifted again, moving from its previously announced July 2026 slot to March 2026. This marks the second postponement for the live-action comedy.

Both pgLang, Lamar's company, and Park County, the production firm of Stone and Parker, confirmed the update in a joint statement. They indicated that work is ongoing to complete the film. The shift is reportedly due to the demanding schedules of the key creative forces involved.

Lamar has been engaged in an extensive global tour since April, which is expected to conclude next month. Concurrently, Parker and Stone have been dedicated to producing new episodes of their hit animated series, 'South Park.' The script for the comedy is penned by Vernon Chatman, and no plot details have been officially revealed by Paramount, other than it being an original live-action comedy.
