Actor Ken Karunaas Launches Directorial Debut with Puja Ceremony

In September 2025, actor Ken Karunaas, known for his acclaimed performances in director Vetri Maaran's films 'Asuran' and 'Viduthalai 2', has officially embarked on a new journey as a director. The launch of his untitled directorial debut was marked by a formal puja ceremony attended by leading names from the Tamil film industry.

The event was graced by the presence of filmmakers Vetri Maaran and Vishal, as well as actors Karthi and RJ Balaji. Ken's parents, actor Karunaas and singer Grace Karunaas, were also present to support the beginning of his new venture. The puja ceremony signifies the official commencement of shooting for Ken's directorial project.

The film's technical crew includes Viki as the cinematographer, Nash as the editor, and Ramu Thangaraj as the editor. Music for the project will be composed by GV Prakash, while the lyrics will be penned by Ken, Vignesh Srikanth, and Eshwar Santhanalakshmi. The film is being produced by Karuppiah C Ram, Sulochana Kumar, and Kali Rajkumar under the banners of Paarvathaa Entertainments and Street Boy Studios.

The upcoming film is described as a fun entertainer centered around school life, with Ken, Devadarshini, and Suraj Venjaramoodu taking on central roles. The makers aim to capture the experiences of students and the dynamics of school environments in a light-hearted manner.
