This significant life change occurred after the pandemic and was primarily motivated by his wife's family relocating, wanting to ensure she had support when Lutz traveled for work.

Lutz expressed his affection for California but noted the shift to Tennessee, specifically Franklin, was prompted by a desire for a more peaceful environment and better community support, especially after experiencing a child's illness. He mentioned the appeal of having land and strong church and Bible study groups.

Despite finding many positives in Tennessee, including a vibrant local acting scene, Lutz acknowledged the adjustments. The family misses the quality of sushi and Mexican cuisine available in California and is adapting to Tennessee's distinct weather patterns, including tornado season.
