R&B Star Keke Wyatt Arrested on Serious Charges

R&B artist Keke Wyatt was taken into custody in Georgia on September 20. She was processed at the Henry County jail on charges including terroristic threats, simple assault, and child cruelty. Wyatt was released two days later after posting a bond of $1,050.

Wyatt achieved national fame in the early 2000s with hit collaborations with Avant. Her gold-certified album, 'Soul Sista,' featured popular tracks like 'My First Love' and 'Nothing in This World.' She also appeared on TV One's reality series, 'R&B Divas: Atlanta' and 'Keke Wyatt's World.'

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 10, 1982, Wyatt comes from a musically gifted family. Her parents, Lorna Jean Wyatt and Keever West Wyatt II, are both vocalists and musicians. Her diverse background, with a Caucasian mother and an African-American and Native American father, influenced her musical journey.

Wyatt began singing at age 2 alongside her brothers and had her first public performance at age 5. Her musical upbringing, which included both gospel and R&B influences, has enabled her to perform across various genres, including pop, country, and opera, while also excelling as a songwriter.
