Summary

- The Grammy winner emphasized R&B's role in emotional expression.
- Students participated in filming a music video with Kehlani.

Grammy-winning musician Kehlani recently visited P.S. 33 in New York City to educate elementary school students about rhythm and blues. Kehlani believes R&B is crucial for children's emotional development, stating it "helps you express big feelings" and fosters vulnerability.
The two-time Grammy winner engaged with the students, answering their questions about fame and music. Kehlani highlighted key R&B elements like groove, soul, and the distinction between riffs and runs.
During the visit, the students donned 90s-style neon clothing and energetically participated in filming an alternative music video for Kehlani's track "Out the Window." Kehlani, a mother herself, demonstrated considerable patience throughout the filming process.
"Out the Window" was released in November and achieved chart success, reaching No. 61 on the Billboard Hot 100 and top 10 on R&B charts. Following recent Grammy wins, Kehlani is preparing to release a new album in late March.
