Kaye Adams Axed From BBC Show Amid Misconduct Findings
28 Feb
Summary
- Kaye Adams removed from £155,000 BBC radio show.
- Three misconduct complaints, including swearing and pen-throwing, were upheld.
- Grant Stott has been named as her replacement on the show.

Kaye Adams has been removed from her £155,000 per year BBC radio show after three misconduct complaints were upheld against her. A disciplinary investigation found Adams guilty of inappropriate behavior, which included allegedly swearing at a colleague, throwing a pen at another, and criticizing an intern's professional abilities. These findings have concluded her tenure with the BBC. Grant Stott has reportedly been identified as her successor.
Two bullying complaints against the 63-year-old presenter were not upheld. Staff on her show, 'Mornings with Kaye Adams,' were informed a week prior not to expect her return. This follows an earlier suspension where Adams stated she was unaware of the specific allegations. One incident reportedly involved the use of a highly offensive term towards a colleague over a decade ago, causing that person to refuse to work that day.
Another incident saw Adams allegedly throw a pen at a producer in frustration. Former colleagues have suggested the BBC took action too late, citing a difficult working environment with frequent tears and high stress levels. Adams, who has worked at BBC Scotland for 15 years, was suspended on October 7, 2025. She remains a regular on ITV's 'Loose Women' and co-hosts a podcast, 'How to Be 60.'
