Griffin Hurt by O'Donnell's Kimmel Guest Snub

Kathy Griffin expressed significant disappointment and hurt after she was not invited to be a guest on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" while Rosie O'Donnell is guest hosting this week. Griffin shared her feelings in a personal video, stating she was surprised by the snub, especially given her friendship with O'Donnell.

O'Donnell is currently guest hosting the ABC late-night show as Jimmy Kimmel takes his planned summer break. In a comment on Griffin's Instagram, O'Donnell explained that she did not personally choose the guests for her hosting duties. Griffin had previously mentioned to O'Donnell that she would like to be a guest, noting their shared criticism of former President Donald Trump.

Griffin also revealed her surprise and hurt over O'Donnell's recent comments on a podcast where she stated she did not agree with Griffin's controversial 2017 photo holding a mock severed head of Trump. Despite her disappointment, Griffin stated she would still watch O'Donnell's shows and root for her.

O'Donnell's scheduled guests for the week include Hannah Waddingham, Ana Gasteyer, Jean Smart, and others. Griffin noted that she was informed Kimmel and ABC were not involved in the decision to exclude her from appearing on the show.
