Kathy Bates Returns to American Horror Story!

Award-winning actress Kathy Bates is returning to the American Horror Story franchise for its thirteenth season. Bates, a fan favorite known for her roles across multiple seasons, confirmed her participation in the upcoming installment. She first joined the series as Madame Delphine LaLaurie in the Coven season, earning an Emmy for her performance.

During a recent interview, Bates disclosed that her involvement in the new season will be brief, involving only one day of filming. This limited schedule suggests a cameo or guest appearance rather than a central role. The actress hinted that the upcoming season might feature an "all-stars" cast, bringing back a variety of familiar faces from the show's history.

Bates expressed her gratitude for the opportunities the series has provided, appreciating the chance to portray diverse characters. She humorously noted creator Ryan Murphy's penchant for dramatic exits for her characters. The upcoming season is slated for release in September 2026 on FX and Hulu, with the specific character Bates will play yet to be officially announced.
