The collaboration between veteran Kathak exponent Aditi Mangaldas and dancer-choreographer Aakash Odedra, titled 'Mehek,' explores the intricate dynamics of a relationship between a mature woman and a younger man. The production, which debuted in Mumbai on April 11 at the Grand Theatre, NMACC, delves into themes of desire, doubt, and societal restrictions. The artistic partnership began during the pandemic, with both artists finding themselves drawn to the same theme independently.

The collaboration process for 'Mehek' was characterized by openness and mutual respect, with Mangaldas and Odedra working through a combination of rational thought and unfiltered emotional expression. Odedra noted how Mangaldas's presence makes him feel youthful, while Mangaldas finds their synergy deeply internalized.
