23 Oct
Summary
- Former housekeeper claims Kate Gosselin abused son Collin.
- She reported allegations to Child and Youth Services.
- Gosselin denied claims, citing Collin's mental health.

A former housekeeper has accused Kate Gosselin of abusing her son Collin. Ashley H., who worked for the Gosselin family around 2013, claims she witnessed Kate Gosselin exhibit what she described as psychological and physical abuse towards Collin.
The former housekeeper stated she reported these alleged incidents to Child and Youth Services in Berks County, Pennsylvania. She indicated that Kate Gosselin "very much outwardly treated Collin different" and "110 percent abused Collin," citing instances of grabbing and forcefully removing him from a chair.
These allegations surface following Collin Gosselin's own memoir, "In the Shadow of Eight," released in October 2026, in which he accused his mother of physical abuse. While Collin previously spoke to child services about being locked in a room, the agency did not find credible evidence against Kate.
Kate Gosselin has repeatedly denied the claims, suggesting Collin suffers from mental illness. She recently commented on social media that people "have no idea what it's like having a child or relative with mental illness."
