Acclaimed author Kate Atkinson has received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Saltire Society. This significant recognition was bestowed during the annual Saltire: Scotland's National Book Awards ceremony in Edinburgh. Atkinson's extensive bibliography includes 13 novels, such as the critically acclaimed 'Life After Life' and the popular Jackson Brodie detective series. Her contributions have also been acknowledged with an MBE and as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Mairi Kidd of the Saltire Society lauded Atkinson as a "superb ambassador for Scotland."
