Actress Kashika Kapoor is preparing for the release of her upcoming Telugu film, 'Caste,' a horror-comedy drama with a strong social message. The teaser features Kapoor in a never-before-seen role as Gayathri, a character she described as a complex mix of seriousness and emotion, even involving possession.

To embody Gayathri, Kapoor undertook a significant physical transformation, gaining six kilograms within a tight two-and-a-half-week period. This required careful management as she simultaneously worked on other film roles. Kapoor stated that 'Caste' draws inspiration from the Constitution of India, focusing on equality and the injustices caused by caste discrimination.

Kapoor highlighted the film's realistic portrayal of how caste deeply affects real lives, choices, and identities. She believes that by sparking conversations and shifting perspectives, films like 'Caste' can be catalysts for change.
