Bhansali has reportedly offered Kapoor Khan a key role in his upcoming production, a mythological jungle-themed adventure film starring Dhanush. The actress is said to be interested, with ongoing discussions about contractual details.
The film, directed by P. S. Mithran, is described as an ambitious saga centered around an elephant and will be mounted on a grand scale. Pre-production is slated to begin in November, with filming scheduled for January 2027.
Should this project materialize, it would mark Kapoor Khan's first collaboration with Bhansali, resolving their long-standing professional rift. She was also in talks for a Salman Khan film, but that did not progress.
Kapoor Khan's next release is the crime thriller 'Daayra' on September 18, 2026. Meanwhile, Bhansali is preparing to release the first look of his film 'Love & War', starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, on January 21, 2027.
