After nine years as a pioneering mixed-gender group, KARD is officially disbanding. DSP Media confirmed that the quartet's first full-length studio album and ongoing world tour will mark their concluding activities as a group. The final album, titled 'Where To Now? (Part.2): NOWHERE,' is scheduled for release on July 28, 2026, serving as the concluding chapter to their 'Where To Now?' project.
KARD's farewell tour, the DRIFT World Tour, is currently underway, having commenced in Tokyo on July 4. The tour will extend across Europe in September, with dates in Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Bulgaria, followed by stops in Jakarta and other Asian markets, encompassing three continents.
Formed in 2017, KARD stood out in the K-pop industry, which predominantly features single-gender groups. Despite initial hesitations due to industry stigmas, members BM, J.Seph, Somin, and Jiwoo successfully carved a unique path, building a dedicated global fanbase, particularly in Latin America. Their distinct sound and aesthetic, blending deep house and dance pop, set them apart, marking the end of an experimental era in K-pop.
