Kanye West Sued Again Over Unpaid Music Work

Kanye West, also known as Ye, is facing a new lawsuit from a freelance producer who claims he was hired on an emergency basis to help complete the album Vultures 2 but was never paid. The producer alleges that despite nearly two years of demands, Ye and his Yeezy label refused compensation, failed to provide contracts, and neglected to credit him on digital platforms.

The plaintiff asserts he performed extensive vocal production, including creating at least 13 AI voice models and over 400 vocal generations, for Vultures 2, with his contributions appearing on five tracks. He also claims to have worked on the album Bully starting in October 2024, contributing AI vocal production and songwriting.

According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles, Ye and Yeezy reportedly acknowledged the producer's work and offered a 'master buyout.' The producer is seeking over $110,000 in compensatory damages plus double damages under local freelance worker protections. This legal action follows previous controversies, including a lost copyright trial for "Hurricane" and numerous other lawsuits.
