14 Oct
Summary
- Kanye West must pay $181,433 in legal fees and costs.
- The additional payment stems from a lawsuit by Tony Saxon.
- West previously lost a $140,000 damages award to Saxon.

Kanye West, known as Ye, faces further financial repercussions from a Malibu mansion dispute, with a recent court order mandating an additional $181,433 payment. This comes seven months after a jury initially found him liable for $140,000 in damages to Tony Saxon.
The recent Los Angeles County Superior Court ruling, obtained by Rolling Stone, directs West to pay $147,000 in attorneys' fees and $34,433.93 in costs to Saxon's legal representatives. While the firm sought more, the judge ultimately settled on this amount after reconsideration.
Saxon had sued West in 2003, alleging serious injuries sustained while working at the Malibu property. He testified that West intended to convert the luxury home into an "off-the-grid bunker," which involved removing essential features. West later sold the property at a considerable loss.
The jury awarded Saxon $140,000 for medical expenses and pain and suffering, but denied punitive damages and found no malice on West's part. West is currently appealing the $140,000 judgment.
