- Court heard claims of bizarre requests at West's Malibu mansion.

A jury has mandated that controversial US rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, pay $140,000 to a handyman named Tony Saxon. This verdict stems from a lawsuit filed by Saxon over unpaid work and unjust termination related to renovations at West's Malibu mansion.
Saxon had sought $1.7 million in damages, alleging unsafe working conditions and wrongful termination. He claimed West agreed to pay him $20,000 weekly but provided minimal payment. The handyman also testified about West's alleged requests, including installing a system to convert waste into drinking water.
During the 10-day trial, both West and his wife, Bianca Censori, testified. West's legal team argued that Saxon was an unlicensed contractor who damaged the property and presented bank records showing Saxon received $240,000.
This case marks the first of over a dozen lawsuits by former employees against West to proceed to trial. The rapper has faced significant public backlash and business severances due to past online tirades.
