Ye Debunks Fake Text Exchange with Rocket Rese
10 Oct
Summary
- Ye clarified that alleged text messages with Rocket Rese were not real.
- Rocket Rese previously shared a screenshot claiming an album delivery.
- This incident follows previous debunked text message leaks.

Kanye West, widely known as Ye, recently addressed and debunked a series of purported text messages shared by artist Rocket Rese. These messages, which had been circulating, suggested a collaboration and support from Ye for Rese's upcoming project.
Rocket Rese had initially posted a screenshot on his Instagram Story, featuring a conversation with a contact labeled 'Ye.' The shared image included a banner announcing the delivery of an album, with text implying Ye's direct involvement and encouragement. The alleged exchange showed Ye referring to Rese as 'kid,' to which Rese responded with a request not to be addressed as such.
This situation is not unprecedented for Ye, as he has previously had to refute fake text message screenshots. Last March, he similarly debunked false claims attributed to him regarding Playboi Carti's performance. However, some leaked texts attributed to Ye have proven to be real, such as a message about retiring from music posted and later deleted by Rich The Kid in July 2024.
