Kanye West Buys Out Pokémon Card Shop

Kanye West, also known as Ye, recently caused a stir by closing a Burbank trading card shop, LA Sports Cards, for a private shopping experience for his children. The visit, which occurred on Wednesday, September 30, saw West spending "thousands upon thousands" of dollars exclusively on Pokémon cards.

The shop later publicized the event, sharing photos of West with employees. This was not the family's initial visit to the store; they had been seen there previously in May. Kim Kardashian has also visited the shop on her own in February.

The family's affinity for Pokémon was further highlighted by Psalm's seventh birthday celebration earlier this year, which featured a Pokémon theme complete with a large Pikachu mascot.
