Kanye West has publicly apologized for his past antisemitic statements, attributing the harmful rhetoric to his struggles with bipolar disorder. He detailed in a page-long advertisement that a car accident in 2002, which caused a frontal lobe injury, was a significant factor in his mental health challenges.

West described how his illness led to him losing touch with reality and being drawn to destructive symbols. He candidly explained that manic episodes can cause denial and a distorted perception, making individuals feel detached from their true selves and convinced they are not ill.

He revealed that a four-month manic episode in early 2025 severely impacted his life. Following this experience, and with encouragement from his wife, Bianca Censori, he sought professional help. West expressed regret for his actions and a commitment to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change.

The advertisement, paid for by Yeezy, also touched upon the impact of his words on the Black community and his love for them. West stated he is not a Nazi or an antisemite and loves Jewish people, expressing a desire to earn forgiveness through patience and understanding.
