Kantara Chapter 1 Earns ₹106.85 Crore in 2 Days, Poised for ₹200 Crore Weekend

This is a stark contrast to the performance of the original Kantara film, which managed to collect only around ₹4.6 crore in its initial two-day run.

The sequel's impressive opening has industry analysts predicting that it could potentially cross the ₹200 crore mark over the upcoming weekend. This would place Kantara Chapter 1 in a similar league to the 2019 blockbuster War 2, which had opened to ₹110 crore in its first two days.

What's particularly noteworthy is the film's consistently high occupancy rates throughout the day. The morning and afternoon shows recorded occupancy of 60.03% and 90.73%, respectively, while the evening and night shows filled 86.48% and 92% of the seats. Overall, the average occupancy for Kantara Chapter 1 stood at a remarkable 82.31%.
