In the past month, the Karnataka State Film Awards 2021 celebrated the achievements of Kannada cinema. The top honor, Best Film, went to 'Doddahatti Boregowda', directed by Raghu KM. The second and third-best films were '777 Charlie' and 'Bisilu Kudure', respectively.
In the performance categories, Rakshit Shetty was recognized as the Best Actor for his role in '777 Charlie', while Archana Jois, known for her work in 'KGF', was named the Best Actress for 'Mute'. The Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards were presented to Pramod and Umashree for their performances in 'Ratnan Prapancha'.
The awards also celebrated excellence in writing, with Manjunath Muniyappa winning Best Story for '9 Sullu Kathegalu', Raghu KM taking Best Screenplay for 'Doddahatti Boregowda', and Baraguru Ramachandrappa receiving Best Dialogues for 'Thaayi Kasthur Gandhi'.
