Country music stars Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert have joined forces on the new track "Horses and Divorces," featured on Musgraves' forthcoming album, "Middle of Nowhere." This collaboration arrives after years of public speculation about a strained relationship between the two Texas natives. Musgraves confirmed in a recent interview that a significant "beef" did exist between them.
The tension reportedly originated from Musgraves' 2013 song "Mama's Broken Heart," which she had initially planned to record herself. However, she ultimately let Lambert record the track, which became a major hit. Musgraves explained that the idea for "Horses and Divorces" came to her after seeing Lambert on Instagram. "Well, I guess we have two things in common: horses and divorces," she recalled thinking, leading to the concept of a duet.
Musgraves reached out to Lambert, whom she hadn't spoken to in years, to co-write the song. Lambert agreed, and the songwriting session proved to be a healing experience for both artists. Lambert expressed gratitude for "Mama's Broken Heart," acknowledging its role in her career. Both artists are now older and less inclined towards unnecessary conflict, finding resolution through their shared creative endeavor.
