Country star Kacey Musgraves, 37, recently shared insights into her grandmother's reaction to explicit lyrics on her new single, "Dry Spell." The song, which details an extended period without sexual intimacy, features the line, "Sitting on the washing machine," which Musgraves admits her grandma isn't fond of. Musgraves noted that her grandmother was aware of the lyric's meaning but had not yet seen the music video, which includes suggestive food imagery.
Musgraves recounted a distressing event where her grandmother was hospitalized with extreme high blood pressure during the filming of the "Dry Spell" video. The singer expressed concern that her grandmother's health scare might be compounded by her reaction to the video. Fortunately, her grandmother has since recovered and is reportedly doing well. The "Dry Spell" single was released in March, preceding the May 1st release of Musgraves' sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere.
