Streamer Banned for Buying League of Legends Account
28 Apr
Summary
- Twitch streamer Jynxzi's League of Legends account was banned.
- The ban occurred because the account was purchased, violating Riot Games' terms.
- Riot Games stated that buying accounts remains against their rules.

On April 27, 2026, popular Twitch streamer Nicholas "Jynxzi" discovered his League of Legends account had been permanently banned. The ban stemmed from a violation of Riot Games' terms of service, specifically the rule against selling, transferring, or sharing account access.
A manual review confirmed that the account Jynxzi was using had been transferred between players. Riot Games' User Rules explicitly state that players must use only their own created accounts to ensure fair play and balanced matches.
Following the ban, Jynxzi acknowledged purchasing the account, citing his reluctance to spend approximately 30 hours leveling a new one through Co-op vs AI mode. He apologized for the infraction, expressing a desire to play, even if it meant starting at a low rank.
Drew Levin, Head of Business for League of Legends, publicly reinforced Riot's stance on X, confirming that "buying accounts is still illegal." He further indicated that the League of Legends Creator team had potentially offered Jynxzi an alternative account to use.
