The Jumanji saga continues as the iconic game world begins to merge with reality in the highly anticipated threequel, "Jumanji: Open World." The first trailer revealed a surprising twist: game avatars are appearing in the real world, not in their full forms, but in a peculiar 'demo mode.'
This unexpected incursion prompts the teenage protagonists to re-enter the game, facing the dual responsibility of saving both the Jumanji realm and their own world. The film series, which reimagines the classic for a modern audience, previously included "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" and "Jumanji: The Next Level."
In a touching tribute to the original film, the new installment features an Easter egg dedicated to the late Robin Williams, who starred in the 1995 classic. "Jumanji: Open World" is set to release on Christmas Day.
