The fifth anniversary of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation is being celebrated with a significant collaboration at Gyu-Kaku, a prominent yakiniku chain across Japan. This event will feature specially themed menu items and exclusive merchandise, running from August 26 to September 30, with fans hoping for an international rollout.
Coinciding with this celebration, MAPPA, the animation studio responsible for Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Attack on Titan, is observing its 15th anniversary. They will host the MAPPA Expo 15th Anniversary event at the Yurakucho Museum in Tokyo from September 16 to December 7, 2026.
The popular dark fantasy manga series, which began in 2018, has become an international phenomenon, further boosted by its critically acclaimed anime adaptation. In addition to the Gyu-Kaku collaboration, a new game titled Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is slated for release in 2026, promising chaotic gameplay inspired by Vampire Survivors with over 20 characters.
Furthermore, Jujutsu Kaisen is currently taking over Yokohama, offering themed locations, merchandise, and food items. Large photo installations have appeared across the city, culminating in a major event at K-Arena Yokohama on August 29 and 30, all part of the ongoing fifth-anniversary festivities.
