Legendary singer-songwriter Judy Collins will commence her "Sweet Judy Blue Eyes" farewell tour on July 4, 2026. The tour is slated to span iconic venues across North America and beyond, concluding in the winter of 2027, providing fans a final opportunity to witness her live performances.
The tour's name is a nod to the 1969 Crosby, Stills & Nash song "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," inspired by Collins. Prior to the official launch, a series of warm-up performances are scheduled for June. The tour's kickoff event will be at the "America Made In Virginia: 250 Years Together" celebration.
Special guests are expected at select dates, including artists like Richard Thompson, the High Kings, and Bruce Cockburn, with more to be announced. Following the main tour, Collins will present an "Encore" series of performances, celebrating her six decades in music.
Collins, who began her career in 1961 and gained fame with a cover of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now," has released at least 55 albums across various genres. Her 2023 album "Spellbound" featured her first original, self-penned songs. She is also an author, filmmaker, and mental health advocate.
