Judith Light Confirms No Return to 'All's Fair'

Judith Light has confirmed that her character, Sheila Baskin, will not be featured in the upcoming second season of the Hulu legal drama 'All's Fair.' The acclaimed actress expressed her happiness for the show's renewal and her former castmates, stating, "I went in there as a guest star. I'm not part of that second season, but for the gals who I adore." Light lauded the creative team behind the series, highlighting Ryan Murphy as a "visionary."

Despite receiving largely negative reviews from critics upon its November premiere, 'All's Fair' achieved a significant milestone for Hulu. The platform reported that the series marked its biggest scripted debut in three years, attracting 3.2 million viewers. The show centers on Allura, a successful divorce lawyer, and her all-female law firm in Los Angeles. Light's role involved portraying one of the firm's memorable clients across two episodes in the first season.

Light also shared insights into her character development process, emphasizing collaboration with fellow actors, designers, and the costume department. She specifically credited costume designer Lou Eyrich for her significant contributions to bringing characters to life, noting the "real thought" behind the show's acclaimed luxury fashion. Light found that her shoes, in particular, played a crucial role in embodying her character, acknowledging Eyrich's extraordinary management of the series' demanding costume needs.
