Summary
- Jude Law, now 52, was a child film critic in 1984
- At age 11, he reviewed Disney's 101 Dalmatians as "very predictable"
- Law described himself as a "movie nerd" obsessed with films from a young age

On November 14, 2025, a resurfaced video from 1984 revealed that a young Jude Law, then just 11 years old, was an insightful film critic on British television. In the clip, Law appeared on the BBC's Breakfast Time program to review some of the latest movie releases.
While Law said he did enjoy parts of Disney's 101 Dalmatians, he had some significant critiques of the classic animated film. "You could tell from the very beginning it was all very predictable," he told presenter Fern Britton. "All the way through, you knew what was going to happen."
However, Law did praise certain aspects of the film, noting that he liked "the way, from the very beginning, the animals actually called the humans their pets." He also found humor in the different accents used by the adult dogs and young puppies.
Law, who is now 52 years old, revealed that he was a "movie nerd" from a very young age, obsessed with films ranging from Indiana Jones and E.T. to classic black-and-white movies. He even said his mother introduced him to foreign films by directors like Truffaut and Godard.
Despite his tough words for 101 Dalmatians, Law went on to work with Disney multiple times in his acting career, including roles in Captain Marvel, Peter Pan & Wendy, and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
